Olympia Album #10

Well, today is supposed to be the last day.  Constitutionally the Legislature is supposed to meet for 60 days in even numbered years.  Today is the 60th day.  Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the budget and revenue packages are not done and everyone is saying there will be a Special Session.  When we will come back is anyone's guess -- will it be tomorrow?  Will it be Monday?  Will it be after they have negotiated a tax and budget package?  We've not had a Special Session since 2003 -- no one remembers how to do one!  How long it will take we don't know either.  Everyone just wants to go home, and it doesn't look like we will today.

Naturally it's rainy and gloomy here today -- matching everyone's mood.  Earlier in the week when I took this picture, it was sunny and nice, and we've been enjoying an exceptionally early spring.  The cherry blossoms are out, the daffodils are in bloom and the sun has been shining.

Not today.
