Songs not to listen to...

There is a new country/rock band I've really grown to like called the Zac Brown Band and I've downloaded a couple of their songs on I-tunes.  One song in particular hit very close to home today -- in the wrong way.  It's one of those songs you should not listen to as it tends to make you want to ditch everything and run away.

I had to head off the Hill to a meeting this afternoon, it's a glorious sunny and warm spring "non-February" day in Olympia today.  I'd give anything to have the Nightster down here to ride later. On a clear day like today, Mt. Rainier is out in all it's glory, and I had to stop on my way back to the office and just stare for a minute at how it dominates the horizon. Cell phone camera's just sometimes don't do it justice.
So after wistfully watching a couple of motorcycles head off up the Nisqually river delta road, I turned and headed back to the Capitol. On my CD came the Zac Brown Band singing "I've got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a care in the world, a cold drink in my hand, life is good today.  I'm gonna lie in the hot sun and roll me a fat one and get my guitar and play."   It was very hard not to pull up Travelocity or Expedia on the computer and book a ticket somewhere after being out in the sun and listening to that song.  Instead I am sitting here listening to a hearing restricting what employers can tell employees in staff meetings.  Don't we all have something better to do... like sit with our toes in the water, and our asses in the sand?
