Well I've done it. Ridden my motorcycle coast to coast. At 415pm I rode out onto the beach at Ocean Shores and dipped the tires into the ocean. Fourteen days ago on July 22, 2008, we left Key West, Florida. In between it's been 4,808 miles of riding across this country. And it isn't quite over. Ocean Shores is the equivalent of Miami in a way. To get to the "corner" that is opposite Key West, we need to go 100 more miles up the Olympic Peninsula on US-101 to Neah Bay, Washington. That's for tomorrow.
But for now, I'll just enjoy the accomplishment of coast to coast, sitting in front of a fire in an ocean front room looking out at the sea rolling in.
